Voice capture on the go: from dictation straight to tasks

The best ideas arrive when your hands are busy — after a meeting, walking the dog, in a car park. Just say them out loud.

For people who spend the day between meetings, on site, in the field or behind the wheel.

The situation

David is in sales and spends half his day driving between clients. After every meeting he has three tasks in his head and remembers one by the evening. Typing on the phone slows him down, and while driving it's dangerous.

What it looks like in AltoFocus

  1. Stop and say it

In the car park, tap the microphone and talk as you would to a colleague: “Tomorrow send Novak the quote, on Friday call the warehouse about pallets, and buy a present for Mum.” Don't handle your phone while driving — wait until you've stopped.

  2. One sentence, three tasks

AI voice capture (Altitude plan) picks out the separate tasks, the dates (“tomorrow”, “on Friday”) and projects you already have. It drops filler words and greetings and doesn't invent anything.

  3. Check before saving

The tasks appear as an editable list. Fix what needs fixing and save. Nothing is created without your confirmation.

  4. The recording isn't kept

The audio is sent for transcription and discarded straight away. Only the task text is saved. You can switch voice capture off in settings. On the free Ground plan, plain on-device dictation works too.
