In short
AltoFocus uses no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies and loads no third-party scripts that track you. That's why we don't ask for cookie consent and you won't see a cookie banner here. We use only what signing in and choosing a language need.
Cookies we use
| Name | Purpose | Lifetime | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
sb-…-auth-token (may be split into several parts .0, .1) | Keeps you signed in to the app at app.altofocus.app. Set by our sign-in service, Supabase Auth. | Until you sign out, refreshed as you use the app | Essential, first party |
NEXT_LOCALE | Remembers the language you explicitly chose (Czech or English). | 1 year | Essential (functional), first party |
On the marketing website www.altofocus.app, the NEXT_LOCALE cookie is set only when you choose a language yourself (with the language switch or by opening the English home page at /en). On a first visit the language follows your browser settings and no cookie is created.
Other browser storage
The web app (not the marketing website) keeps a few more things in your browser, and they never leave your device:
- Local storage: small interface preferences, such as a collapsed sidebar, hiding completed tasks, recent searches, a dismissed tip or the first-run guide.
- IndexedDB (
altofocus-offline): an offline cache of lists you've viewed and a queue of changes made without a connection. Once you're back online the changes are sent and the queue is emptied. - Service worker and Cache Storage: static app files (icons, manifest, scripts) for faster loading and installing to the home screen. They contain none of your tasks.
This storage is necessary for features you use yourself and serves only you.
Deleting or blocking cookies
You can delete cookies and site data at any time in your browser settings. Deleting the sign-in cookie signs you out. If you block all cookies, signing in to the app won't work; the marketing website works without them.
Changes
If we ever want to use non-essential cookies (analytics, for example), we will update this policy first and ask for your consent. More about how we handle data is in the privacy policy.
