## Frequently asked questions

### What does AltoFocus cost now, during the beta?

Nothing. During the beta everything is free, Altitude included. Before we start charging we'll let you know by e-mail and in the app, and you choose whether to stay on Ground or move to Altitude.

### How will billing work?

Altitude will be billed monthly or yearly — by card on the web, through the App Store in the iPhone app. Paying yearly works out roughly 25% cheaper. The listed prices are final.

### Can I cancel at any time?

Yes. You cancel with one tap and Altitude keeps running until the end of the paid period. Then your account goes back to Ground. You lose no data — tasks, projects and horizons all stay.

### How do I get my data out?

The REST API lets you download all your tasks, projects and areas. A self-service file export is coming before paid plans launch; until then we'll send you one on request. Deleting your account deletes all your data.

### What does the AI see, and where does the data go?

AI features are part of Altitude only and run once you allow them. You can switch them off any time. We send the model only the data a request needs, through OpenRouter. We don't use your data to train models and we sell nothing. The AI reads your values and vision only if you allow it separately. See the privacy policy for details.

### Do you offer student and non-profit discounts?

Yes. Students, teachers and non-profit organisations get 50% off Altitude. Write to us from your school or organisation e-mail.

### What is a founding member?

### Why doesn't Ground include AI?

Because every AI request costs money, and we won't subsidise it with ads or by selling data. Ground is a complete GTD app — you can run your whole life in it without AI.
